In his final game at Finley stadium, Blue Cooper couldn't have asked for a better ending, passing Terrell Owens for 5th on the Mocs all-time receiving list.
"I'm priviliged and I mean that's all Sat and B.J., I mean I just catch the balls."
With the Mocs in a 21-0 hole coach Russ Huesman was afraid to call Blue his boy.
"That's what I think of Blue. I didn't care if he was covered or not. Throw the ball to Blue."
Cooper says, "He stays on my butt. He don't really say a whole lot to me but he just kind of gives me a look and I'll know. It's awesome to have somebody that trusts you that much."
Cooper responded with 14 catches for 139 yards and the game winning score. Mocs quarterback B.J. Coleman has great respect for his top receiver. "He works his rear end off. He goes out every day, he's not scared to go over the middle, catch the ball, make runs for you and just proud of what he's accomplished."
But Cooper had one more catch to make, popping the question to girlfriend Maci Gault, sister of fellow Mocs receiver Jere Gault..
"Once I knew that you know, this is who I wanted to be with, I mean I thought it would be cool. I mean I've been here forever, so it means something to me and it definitely means something to her."
Now he rides of into the sunset, with a winning record and leaving a legacy behind.
"It's awesome to know that we're gonna be the group that tunred it around and these guys are just going to keep winning, keep getting better."
