Chattanooga Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Challenges Tourism Industry to "Go for the Green"
The Chattanooga Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is "Going for the Green."
CEO Bob Doak challenged tourism executives and local leaders at Wednesday's annual meeting to keep environmental responsibility at the forefront of the tourism industry.
The Scenic City has been recognized for it's eco-friendly status.
Doak says it not only benefits the environment, but tourism and the local economy as well, "Companies are attracted to this city because of the environmental efforts this city has done. And again, I think it's so important to note that we're not just talking about it, we're doing something about this. And we're gonna take this one step further and make this even a better city."
Roughly 1000 people attended the meeting.
Doak says that shows how much people believe in Chattanooga tourism.
