Chattanooga Motels Fill Up With Louisiana Evacuees
They are quickly filling motels and hotel rooms across the south. A check of the parking lot at the Best Western on Cummings Hwy shows several Louisiana license plates. This motel is just one of many in Chattanooga where evacuees have taken shelter. Louisiana native Irvin LeBlanc, his wife and two dogs arrived Saturday. LeBlanc says his biggest worry is not having a home to come back to. LeBlanc plans to stay in Chattanooga until Tuesday. He worries some people who weathered through Katrina won't go back a second time.
While thousands are been evacuated by government agencies, others who were in the path of the storm left in their own transportation.
