Chattanooga Realtors Say Local Homes Sales Down, Now Is Time To Buy
Chattanooga Realtors say it's a buyers market...
The Chattanooga Association of Realtors says area home sales are down 14% compared to July of last year, and down 5% from June.
Realtors say that means now is a good time to buy.
The Chattanooga Real Estate Market is coming off three of it's best years ever.
Realtors say the slowing local market is still fairing better than other parts of the country.
Chattanooga Multiple Listings Service President Randy Durham says, "We can't sustain record breaking years every year. And I think we've got good rates, good inventory, and the buyer should get off the fence and take a look. See what's out there."
Durham says there are roughly 6000 houses on the market in the Chattanooga area.
Typically there are only 4000.
