A pick-up truck carrying about two-thousand bottles of water, mostly from the mountains of Benton, Tennessee, arrived at the Georgia State Capitol this morning.

Shortly after 10:00am, volunteers started unloading the truck to carrying the water into lawmakers.

Which liquid did Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield pour on the border battle between Tennessee and Georgia?  Fuel or Water?  The Mayor's stunt, dubbed "Give our Georgia Friends a Drink Day," resulted from Ron Littlefield collecting donated water Tuesday at City Hall.  Mayoral aide Matt Lea was dressed in frontier buckskins as he ambled into the state Capitol to hand out the 2,000 bottles to curious lawmakers and lobbyists. He called the gift "just a friendly gesture, poking fun at the idea."

The Georgia General assembly has passed a resolution calling for discussions with Tennessee to move Georgia's border north to access the Tennessee River.
