kChattanooga's Homeless Health Care Center celebrates 20 years of service.

The center provides primary health care services, case management services and an intensive outpatient substance abuse program.

Located on East 11th street, people from Chattanooga, Hamilton County and those traveling through have all benefited from the center.

Last year, it served 4,000 people amounting to a little over 18,000 visits.

Project Director Karen Guinn adds, "We are seeing more homeless families. Intact families, single mothers with children that can't make it by themselves because of the economy. Maybe they've been through a divorce, lost their housing."

The center plans to expand in the future.

They'll use space next door when the Interfaith Network moves across the street.
