You've heard about her and even seen her on national TV. Now a Cleveland High School student receives a special honor for her efforts to support soldiers fighting overseas.
Two years ago, Kaylee Radzyminski launched a program called "Tunes 4 the Troops" She has collected and shipped more than 3-hundred thousand cd's and dvd's to the war zone as entertainment for our soliders. And she's still collecting today. Kaylee says, "We're packing over 270 boxes to send to the troops. We have many volunteers who have graciously given up their Saturday morning to come up and help." Among the volunteers is one of the reciepients of Kaylee's gifts, Retired Sergeant First Class Roger Smith. Smith says, "Anything with entertainment value that can for a second that soldier can step back and be taken out of the environment he's in, that means a whole lot." Smith has served 20 plus years in the United States Army. He has been deployed in three combat tours including Operation Iraqi Freedom. Now he says it's his chance to give a gift to Kaylee. Smith says, "So I had to think about what could I give this girl to thank her personally, from my heart, from my family. And I said the one thing that was given to me from the military that meant so much was being awarded the bronze star. That bronze star was pinned on me by a three star general. It meant so much to me. It just sat in my house. I guess there's only one thing I can do, to give to her something that means so much to me, my bronze star. So Kaylee this is for you, wear it with pride." Kaylee adds, "It really touches me that he was so appreciative for Tunes 4 the Troops that he gave this to me, his most prize possession."
