Family and friends mourn the loss of a Cleveland aid worker killed in Africa
Authorities say two men shot and killed Christopher Leggett when he resisted yesterday during an attempted kidnapping.
Leggett headed a school for computer science and languages in Mauritania.
His wife, Jackie, and their four children are expected back in Cleveland Friday.
“Our family is deeply comforted by the outpouring of love and support we are receiving in this very difficult time,” Jay Leggett, Chris’s father, said this morning. “Linda and I are grateful for the many expressions of concern and for your prayers. It is because of God’s grace and the encouragement of friends that we can face the loss of our beloved son. Knowing Chris as we know him, he would have been willing to help those who brought harm to him, had he only had the chance.”

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Loosing a loved one is something only the person experiencing it knows how hard it is. I don't know your financial situation, but I feel sure with 4 kids a bit of financial help would be greatly appreciated. If you have a trust fund set up please post the information. I myself would like to help as much as I can..Dimes add up to dollars, which can help greatly.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Mark S.
