
Collegedale Recycle Center Announces Grand Opening

Collegedale and surrounding communities now have a recycling center. The center is located on Sandborn Drive. Newspaper, mixed paper, #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum and tin cans are among the accepted items. Used motor oil is also accepted and will be used to heat city facilities. Cardboard in *not* accepted at this time, but officials hope to add it to the list in the future. The new center was a joint effort between East Hamilton County, the city of Collegedale and Commissioner Bill Hullander. Volunteers are needed to operate the facility on weekends. To volunteer call the city of Collegedale at 423.396.3135. Hours of Operation: Monday-Closed Tuesday- 1:00 to 4:00 pm Wednesday- 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Thursday- Closed Friday - 1:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday - 1:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday - 1:00 to 4:00 pm
