We also an update on the rockslide construction project on Highway 64.
TDOT posted new video today of their crews working on the slide zone at the Ocoee 2 dam.
Crews are still clearing unstable rock on the side of the mountain.
Today crews drilled holes into the rock layer.
Then they put in explosives.. And set off another slide.
The explosion revealed a slab of stable rock underneath.
Crews will continue blasting from the west side and hauling off the debris for the rest of the week.
Cool!
