Testimony in Hamilton county sessions court Friday morning painted a picture of Tina Loher as a wife and mother bent on chasing demons from the body of her former husband. Loher shot Dr. Terrence Loher at his chiropractic office last week.

WDEF News 12's Bill Mitchell reports on the preliminary hearing. Tina Loher, the 41 year old former wife of Terry Loher said nothing during the hearing in Judge Ron Durby's court.

Instead she listened as the prosecutor, two police officers and Loher himself testified about the events of July 10th. That's when Tina Loher drive from her home near Knoxville and walked into the Signal Mountain chiropractic office with a 38-caliber weapon. She shot Loher in the groin as patients and staff fled the office. He fought back.

DR. TERRY LOHER "After I hit her, I don't know if she was unconscious, because I was busy trying to stop the bleeding."

Loher said his ex-wife was delusional, and according to him, speaking in tongues.

DR. LOHER "She said I have...she said I had demons in me." That was a main point made by district attorney general Bill Cox. He asked Hamilton county sheriff's detective Roger Brown to read from a ledger that was found in Tina's home after the shooting.

Voice of DET. ROGER BROWN, HCSO "Terry is filled with 3 demon spirits..one is assigned to me, and one to each of the children...their purpose is to destroy us." That ledger, written the morning of the shooting, goes on to say that the only way to rid him of the demons is to put three exit holes in his body. Tina Loher's father from North Carolina attended the hearing.

KENNETH JONES, TINA'S FATHER "She was very protective of the children..she wanted the best for her kids."

But Terry Loher told the court of his main concern.

TERRY LOHER "If she makes bond, if she gets out..she's going to try to finish the job. That's what she said she would do." With that, Judge Durby raised the original 140-thousand dollar bond to 600-thousand. That's 500-thousand dollars for one charge of attempted first degree murder, plus two counts of reckless endangerment.

No trial date has been set. Dr. Loher suffered a gunshot wound to the groin and upper leg. He underwent surgery and was released from the hospital on Tuesday.

He was awarded custody of his two young daughters with Tina Loher.
