A planned but unannounced drug sweep at Bradley Central High School ends with a student under arrest.

Bradley County Director of Schools Johnny McDaniel tells News 12 the school board asks the Sheriff's Office to do the search twice a year.

K-9 units swept the parking lot and school.

They hit on two cars.

Officers found a marijuana joint in one of them.

McDaniels says the sweeps are the schools district's proacative effort to keep drugs out of Bradley County Schools.

why would you put that on

why would you put that on the news? come on cant you find a better story then that.

What did they do with the

What did they do with the bud?

An Unconstitutional Waste of Time and Money

How many taxpayer dollars were just wasted in this sweep, all for the purpose of destroying a student's academic career for one joint?

$50,000?

$100,000?

The "sweep," which should not be allowed in the first place, helped no one. In a recession such as this, we should use our money and resources more wisely, Mr. McDaniel.

Grammar

Come on now, for a news agency I'd expect you to spell check your documents before making them public. districtn's? proacative? Seriously.
