Scenic City Scene

With summer drawing to a close and football season fast approaching there's one food that will be on the minds every student and sports fan alike...Pizza.

And the Scenic City's newest addition to the realm of pie perfection... is Crust.

Located near the corner of Dayton Blvd and Signal mountain road Crust offers diners a unique experience from the dayglow décor to the specialty beer selection.

But owners Greg Beerstow and Geoff Brakebill have customers coming to Crust for one thing...

" We specialize in thin crust everything's fresh, handmade...that's what this is, the herb garden you can see people picking the herbs, for the basil they're gonna put on your pizza, or the rosemary that goes into the rosemary chicken, it's jus fresh ingredients and good service."-patrick Babb, Manager

But once you've filled up on one the amazing house specialty pies at Crust you'll need to get out and dance it off...

And to do that, catch one of Chattanooga's newest and most innovative sounds... Land Camera.

This six piece mixture of local and transplanted talent is the real thing and to hear them play it's almost impossible to believe they've only been together for about six months.

" We have sort of a predisposition to do straight ahead americana, but we like to mix it up a little bit further out kind of stuff...Dr. Dog a big influence, Wilco, Flaming Lips, sort of forward thinking indie rock I guess."Charles Allison, Guitar Vocals.

Land Camera weaves a rich tapestry of sound that completely envelopes their listeners for a dream like state you won,t experience anywhere else in the scenic city.

"I'm real excited about this band because I get to experament with a lot of instruments that I wouldn't normally play in other bands.I get to mess around and see if something fits in" Amanda Cagle, Xylophone,Accordion.

"As far as the Chattanooga music scene goes this an exceptional group of listeners and open minded people"-Bob Stagner, Drums.

Land Camera brings it rich six piece sound to the stage at Jj's Bohemia with the Bohannon's this Friday night after Nightfall..do your ears a favor and don't miss out on what could be the next big sound from the southeast.
