Residents in Georgia's cities go to the polls next Tuesday.
We're previewing the elections by asking reporters at the local papers which races are getting the most attention...
In Ft. Oglethorpe it's the city council race...
Eight candidates are vying for three seats...including the three incumbents.
Catoosa County News Staff Reporter Heather Gentry says the race could have a big impact on the city.

"They have a lot of power. I mean that's what they do they make ordinances and those ordinances last until another council votes them out or makes and amendment."
Gentry says this is the lease contentious election the city has had in some time.
