Ten Thousand Chattanoogans Sign Up For Biweekly Recycling

     Ten thousand Chattanoogans have now signed up for the city's bi-weekly recycling program.
     The program began in september.
     And the city has collected more than 317 tons of recyclables.
     That's more than they got last year during September and October with the drop off program.
     You can still sign up for the new recycling program online or by phone.

The next advance in electric vehicles may come out of Chattanooga.  Engineering students and facility at UTC hope to find a way to unplug the electric car.  In fact, you may soon see a test case take place downtown.

ECOtality Electric Car Charging Stations Coming To Chattanooga

Chattanooga will be one of about a dozen cities across the country to be equipped with new transportation infrastructure.  Electric car charging stations will be added here, along with Nashville and Knoxville and several cities on the West Coast.
