Every student in a special classroom, dreams of one day being at the head of the class.
The rising high school juniors and seniors will receive a college crash course in what it means to be a teacher, over a five-week period this summer.
Tersheia Hayes is a teacher for the Governor's School.
"These are the best of the best within the state and the fact that they want to be educators and are taking the time during their summers off from school to come and participate and teach kids it really shows how motivated they are."
In order to encourage each student's prospective career path, the program covers the myths and realities of the profession; effective teaching strategies, and styles.
Students receive college credit for their work, and get a jump start on their future profession.
Only 30 students in the entire state get selected for this program.
