Habitat For Humanity Dedicates Two Homes
Two Chattanooga families became homeowners Saturday as Habitat for Humanity dedicated the newly-completed houses.
Students from nine public and two private schools built the homes which sit side by side in Alton Park.

The program called Student Build launched in February and gives students a chance to gain real-world building experience. They did all the work except plumbing and electrical.
The new homeowners say it was a good experience for them and their children to help build their own home from the ground up. They learned everything from painting to the proper way to hold a hammer.
Habitat for Humanity has helped families build more than 200 homes in the greater Chattanooga area.
