In Style: Jessica Alba

Actress Jessica Alba is opening her beautiful California home to Instyle Magazine.

ACTRESS JESSICA ALBA HAS A NEW BABY AND A NEW HOUSE.  INSTYLE MAGAZINE FOUND OUT JESSICA'S GOAL WAS A KID-FRIENDLY AND ECO-FRIENDLY HOME.  

Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren live in their new renovated, two-story L.A. Canyon home.

FINDING JUST THE RIGHT PLACE WAS DEFINITELY A FAMILY AFFAIR.

Jessica's dad is a realtor so he showed them more than 30 homes before they finally settled on this one.

AND THEN IT WAS TIME FOR JESSICA TO ADD HER OWN TOUCH.

Jessica's house definitely needed a make-over so she enlisted the help of
interior designer, an eco-enthusiast, Carrie Whitmen.

Jessica and Carrie searched everywhere for furniture from craiglist to antique markets. They really wanted something that had an old Hollywood vibe that could really be re-interpreted in a modern way.

There's a beautiful 1960's merona glass chandelier over the dining room table.  The chairs are ostrich-print faux leather.

THE KITCHEN IS PERFECT FOR FAMILY AND FOR ENTERTAINING.

Jessica loves to cook and her kitchen is her favorite gathering spot for
breakfast, and also for preparing meals when she has people over for dinner parties.

FOR THE BEDROOM, JESSICA CHOSE SOOTHING TONES.

The master bedroom is decorated with shades of sage and brown, and there are shutters to help keep out all the light that floods the room.

Honor Marie sleeps in the master bedroom with her parents on a sustainable wood co-sleeper.

JESSICA'S THOUGHTS ON MOTHERHOOD?

Now that Jessica is a mom she said that it's no longer about her. She says that her priorities have changed, she's more grounded, she feels much more like a woman. Honor Marie has definitely changed her life.
