In Style: Meg Ryan

After taking some time off, Meg Ryan is back.

She's starring in a new movie and also is in the new Instyle Magazine.

Kathleen Conway has the story.

ACTRESS MEG RYAN RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT ON SCREEN AND ON THE COVER OF THIS MONTH'S INSTYLE MAGAZINE.

Meg is currently staring in the remake of the 1930s classic film "The Woman".  She plays Mary Haines who's a fashion designer whose husband is cheating on her.

KNOWN AS AMERICA'S SWEETHEART THE ACTRESS HAS PUT SOME ROUGH YEARS BEHIND HER.

Meg went through a very bitter and public divorce with actor Dennis Quaid. Looking back at that time in her life she said she absolutely was not the victim.  She was very much a part of the marriage and the break-up.

Meg admits that while she was going through the divorce she withdrew and she was very quiet and she really didn't talk at all about the circumstances of the break-up. Looking back she says that during these dark days she really should have handled it differently and should have spoken more specifically about what was really going on in her life.

SHE STILL KEEPS SOME THINGS PRIVATE, LIKE HER THREE-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER.

A couple years ago Meg adopted a baby from China, and her name is Daisy. She said becoming a mother again was really helpful in finding herself again. She feels that she and Daisy were really sort of meant to meet, and that she really is her ultimate companion.

NOW THAT SHE'S FOUND HERSELF SHE'S STARTING A NEW CHAPTER...

Meg plans to do films again in the future because she loves acting, but she also wants to focus on her other passions; photography, writing and directing.
