just put on your application that you are a gay/lesbian/transgendered woman of hispanic/african american descent and are an avowed athesist. no one would dare turn you down for a job. oh yeah what were the qualifications that were needed to work here? course thats why when you walk into about 75% of businesses now that the person there cannot tell you a substansive answer to any of your questions. look around people and you will see it everywhere

Race should not even be an issue. The most qualified should get the jobs. Jessee Jackson is not helping minorities by asking for handouts. The only way to get respect is to earn it not ask for it.
Martin Luther King was a great man who really helped minorities, Jesse Jackson only cares about what gets Jesse press.
As far as the unemployed I agree they need jobs but it is not fair to count out employed people who want a better job.

I think the same way. Just because you are one race, religion or sex does not make you qualified to do a job. There are plenty of people that need a job, they are losing there homes, and everything else that they have and it isn't just one race, religion or sex. People need to get over the debate of race, religion and sex of another person. We are all hurting in this economy.

The best qualified person should hired for the job regardless of race, ethnic, sex or whatever else.

Hiring minorites does not bother me, I just hope that the unemployed are thought about during the hiring process just as much as they are.
