Kindergarten Teacher Faces Molestation Charges
A kindergarten teacher faces child molestation charges for crimes that span nearly two years.
It was Catoosa County deputies who arrested the Walker County woman.
Chickamauga Elementary School teacher Tonya Henke Craft faces four counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated sexual battery. The woman's daughter told her Craft and another juvenile molested her at Craft's home in Chickamauga. Sheriff Phil Summers says the crimes took place between August of 2005 and May of 2007. Another juvenile victim is listed on the arrest report. It states that victim was molested by the juvenile suspect. A judge set bond for Craft at $50,000.

My daughter was in Mrs. Henke's class in 2005. She was a wonderful teacher and was very good to my daughter. I never heard or saw anything inappropriate from Tonya. It is so hard for me to beleive that this is true, however, now matter how well you know someone you don't always know what they are capable of. I am hoping and praying that these allegations are false for the sake of everyone involved. One thing is certain, no matter what the outcome is, you can pretty much bank on Mrs. Henke's career being over, at least in the state of GA and surrounding areas. It's really sad if in fact she is innocent, as I said earlier, she is a WONDERFUL teacher.

How is it possible that only the opinions in favor of Tonya are the only ones able to be published?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the accusations, it is only possible to side with the Teacher or the Students(unless you ride the fence). They are polar opposites and therefore, if one choses the side of the teacher, he is accusing the students of not being truthful and vice versa.
It just seems unfair that no one on this site is allowed to side with the children.
I will use other blog sites to post my opinions in the future.(topix.com, weeklyvice.blogspot.com, etc.)

Mrs. Craft was my son's kindergarden teacher and to be honest with you, when I heard this story it made me sick. I pray for her family. What a tragic thing to go through. I honestly beleive that she is innocent and WILL NOT beleive otherwise unless she just comes out and confesses it. Any child will confess to something if asked enough!! My prayer is that the truth comes out no matter what it is.

My son was as well. I feel the exact same way. I thought in this country you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. Everyone is acting like she has already been convicted. What's up with that.

If this kindergarten was in a Walker County school, why were these children at her home? What would possibly be the need for the teacher to take children home with her? That makes no sense to me.

Kindergarten Teacher
It occurs to me that all of the moms who have posted here have had SONS in her class. According to the allegations, Ms. Craft only molested little girls. Of course, moms with boys would be fine ... I'd like to hear from moms of little girls who were in her classes.
