Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe HS Says Goodbye to Ron Arp
A familiar Fort Oglethorpe educator died Monday evening of a heart attack.
Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe assistant prinicpal Ron Arp worked at the school since it opened in 19-73.
Arp served as the discipline assistant principal.
He previously taught history and coached the wrestling team.
Principal Jerry Ransom says the school just won't be the same without Arp.
Ransom says, "Most of these kids that are here, he taught their parents and if he ever had a discipline issue, he'd probably more than likely he had taught the parent he was going to have to talk to so they all knew him and everybody in the community knew him."
Arp was 58 years old.
Heritage Funeral Home will handle funeral arrangements.
