Watertown -- Downtown Watertown will be looking more Christmas like this evening.

The annual tree lighting ceremony in Public Square will take place tonight at 5:15 pm.  The actual lighting itself will be closer to 6 pm.  As in past years, the display will see thousands of LED lights that move in synchronization with holiday music.  The display will run every night from 4:30 to 10:00 pm through January 2.

For the ceremony, the northside of Public Square will be closed to all traffic beginning at 3 pm.
