Bartlett Woman Jailed for Biting Off Victim's Finger

BARTLETT, TN ( - A Bartlett woman was arrested Monday night for biting off another woman's finger.

Cynthia Johnson, 44, is charged with aggravated assault. She has since been released from jail on a $20,000 bond.

Bartlett police say Johnson and the other woman got into a fight in Johnson's front yard. During the melee, Johnson bit off the woman's right ring finger from the top knuckle up.

According to the police affidavit Johnson admitted it, saying, "I bit it off, O-F-F off, and spit it out in the front yard."

Officers were able to find the finger but doctors were not able to re-attach it.
