Deadly head-on crash in the foothills

One person is dead and two others injured in a suspected DUI crash on Friant Road Sunday night.

The crash happened at Friant and Belcher Avenue, near Lost Lake when a pickup crashed into a car with two people inside.

A 54-year-old female passenger in the car was killed and the driver was injured seriously injured.

The California Highway Patrol arrested, 49-year-old Luis Moreno, the man driving the pickup, for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Fresno sheriff's deputies and tribal police from Table Mountain also responded to the crash. 

The crash blocked Friant Road in both directions.

The names of the victims in the car have been released.
