MEMPHIS, TN ( - A man was arrested after he punched a woman, ran over another woman, and then drove his car into a business near the University of Memphis area Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29. According to the police affidavit, 35-year-old Odies Walker confronted his child's mother at her place of employment on the 800-block of South Highland and a fight ensued. Walker punched the woman in the face and gave her a bloody nose, the document states.

As Walker tried to drive away, the victim's co-worker got behind his vehicle to get his license plate number. While she was still in the parking lot Walker revved his engine and hit her with his front bumper, knocking her down. As he tried to drive away he lost control of his car and crashed through the wall of Best Sound, located on Highland St near Park Ave. Walker attempted to run from the crash site, but was detained by a security guard until police arrived.

The victim struck by Walker's car was transported to The MED in non-critical condition.

Odies Walker is charged with Aggravated Assault, Domestic Assault and Reckless Endangerment. He is being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court January 30.
