Three Arrested after Standoff with Police

MEMPHIS, TN ( - Three suspects are behind bars after shooting at Memphis police officers and forcing a standoff.

MPD'S Organized Crime Unit was serving a warrant at a house in the Berclair area on Wednesday, January 23. As soon as officers entered the residence the three suspects opened fire.

Officers were forced to pull back and set up shop outside the house. They eventually talked them down and the standoff ended peacefully.

55-year-old Rebecca Williams, 28-year-old Alton Williams and 28-year-old Andrew Frans are all charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm while committing a felony, and drug possession.

Rebecca Williams was booked at the Shelby County Jail on a $150,000 bond; Alton Williams and Andrew Frans are being held without bond. All are due in court January 25.
