The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is expected to be the busiest travel day this holiday. The majority of people are driving, but there are thousands of people heading to Tulsa International Airport to catch flights.

The five airports that will have the most traffic are Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco, and number 5 is Atlanta.

TUL recommends printing your boarding pass ahead of time and getting to the airport 90 minutes before your flight.  AAA expects Wednesday to be the busiest day, Thanksgiving the second busiest and the third will be Sunday.

OHP also says make sure you are rested before driving. Especially if you are driving at night because there will be more traffic and the chances of you getting drowsy and causing an accident are higher.

If you spot an impaired driver call *55 to alert OHP. Troopers and Tulsa Police Officers will be increasing patrols until Sunday night.
