Lubbock police caught a man they say may have been involved in a string of recent business burglaries.

Kenneth Ray Devroe, 45, was arrested overnight Friday following the burglary of a convenience store in the 5700 block of Spur 327.

Police say Devroe and another suspect, Charleszetta Germon, attempted to flee in a vehicle from the store.

When officers tried to pull them over, Devroe fled on foot.

Officers arrested Devroe after a short struggle just south of Spur 327.

Germon was arrested a short time later on the South Loop.

Police reported a large quantity of cigarette and tobacco products were recovered.

According to police, Devroe was arrested on four state jail felony warrants, assault on a peace officer, tampering with evidence, burglary, evading and resisting arrest, theft and criminal mischief.

Germon is being held on charges including burglary, evading arrest and escape.
