Local Band Student Performs With All State Group

A Soddy Daisy High school band member will get to show off her musical skills at the state level. Stacey Bunch of Hixson will perform with the Tennessee All-State Jazz Band in Nashville on Friday, April 18, 2008.

Stacey is a trombone player with the Soddy Daisy marching band. She was chosen for the honor in competitive auditions held this year across the state at regional levels. This is her first time to perform as a member of a Tennessee Music Educators Association All-State Group.

"This is a great honor for both Stacey and our band program," notes Band Director Rick Chambers. "All of our students and parents are proud of Stacey and support her as she represents us at the state level."

Her other interests in school include English and Quiz Bowl. She also enjoys reading and listening to music.
