Local Farmer Celebrates Rain Relief
It's the kind of rain many of us have been waiting for for quite a while. Meteorologists call it a soaking rain. It's quenching the thirsty soil in our area.
It might be a bit of a hassle on the roads, especially at rush hour.
Crowder, "I've been praying for it.
But the rain brings welcome relief for farmers like Mcdonald Farm's Brant Crowder. And he says July wasn't much better with only three inches. So he's thankful Fay sent some moisture our way. Crowder, "I was really glad to see that it's finally going to turn North and come toward us." It came just in time to save Mcdonald farm's soy beans. And Crowder says it's already made a difference for his bermuda grass. That means there's hope for more hay this year. Crowder, And while he's thankful for the rain we got, he's praying for more.
