Memorial For Unborn Babies

An overflow crowd gathered this afternoon to pray for an end to abortion and remember those affected by the practice.
AAA Women's Services has hosted the observance at the National Memorial for the Unborn on Vance Road since 1996.
Since then they have added around 2,300 plates on the Wall of Names.
It's constructed on the site of Chattanooga's only abortion clinic, which closed several years ago.
The speakers related how abortion has affected their lives and how God healed them.
Carol Martin says, "It helps just to acknowledge that it was a child. We have to go through the process of grieving and dealing with the anger and the emotions that were involved then, and go through the forgiveness process."
The service also marked the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, which opened the door to legalized abortion.
Since 1973, an estimated 50 million abortions have been performed in the United states.
