Michael Shirley Makes Top 10 Most Wanted List in Tennessee

     The Marion county search for Michael Joseph Shirley has gone state-wide.
     The T-B-I has just put the Whitwell man on their ten most wanted list.
     And the Marion county sheriff's department has now issued a warrant for first degree murder against him.
     He was just wanted for questioning.
     Shirley is suspected of beating and stabbing Brandi Duba to death earlier this week.
     There is a reward now for information leading to Shirley's arrest.
     He is considered armed and dangerous.

Nashville, TN- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today added a man wanted for the recent murder of his girlfriend in Marion County, TN to its list of Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives after a First Degree Murder warrant was taken out for his arrest on Wednesday November 4, 2009.

Michael Joseph Shirley, 29, last known address 142 Cheri Circle, Whitwell, TN is wanted for the beating and stabbing death of 27-year-old Brandi Duba.

Law enforcement authorities discovered Duba’s body on November 3, 2009 in the residence she shared with the suspect.

There were two small children sleeping in the living room when her body was found in a bedroom.

The victim’s vehicle was also discovered burned and abandoned a short distance from the residence.

Shirley has violent criminal history dating back to 1999 that includes theft, drug charges, evading arrest, assaulting a police officer, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and DUI.

Shirley is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes.

He’s approximately 6’3”, weighs 225 lbs and has numerous tattoos including a swastika on his back.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.

There is a $1000 reward for information leading to his capture.
