Mocs Athletics Celebrate Top 100 Ranking

The Mocs athletic program is officially one of the top 100 programs in the nation.
UTC just finished 99th in the nationwide Learfield Sports Director's Cup, which measures an athletic programs success in all sports. Chattanooga finished ahead of a few BCS schools, including Mississippi State.
The Mocs scored high in the Learfield rankings because they
had several NCAA tournament teams last year.
Grabbing a top 100 ranking is a nice accomplishment for a school
with an athletic budget under ten-million-dollars.
  Said AD Rick Hart,"I don't know if you can come out and unequivocally
say that all of a sudden, we're one of the top 100 athletic's programs
in division one. But I think given those complexities, it's as close as you
can get to knowing how you stack up across the division. So to be a top 100 program, given our resources, again speaks volumes to the quality
of the coaches we have here. The quality of the student athletes
and their dedication."
