Mocs Football Team Does Some Soul Searching

  After losing by five touchdowns against Elon on Saturday, the Mocs are doing a little soul searching this week. The offense had a players only meeting on Sunday to address why the team has lost their last two games. The Mocs are now 4-3 on the year, and they want to finish the season with a winning record.
Said defensive end Josh Beard,"Well, we're just going to have to come out more prepared for the game mentally, I think."
Added senior receiver Blue Cooper,"Like coach said, there's a lot of us still
learning how to win. How to win games and how to get used to that. That goes for seniors too. I addressed the fact that I needed to be more vocal in practice."
Said Beard,"We still can play. We're still going to win some ballgames for UTC.  We still want to have a winning season at the end of the year."
The Mocs host Western Carolina at 2pm on Saturday at Finley Stadium.
