Mocs Land Home Basketball Game With Georgia Tech

The Mocs basketball team has beefed up their home schedule next year
with a game against Georgia Tech.
It'll mark the first time UTC has entertained the Yellow Jackets at
McKenzie Arena since 1992.
Said head coach John Shulman,"With bringing in a Georgia Tech with the
recruiting class he had. He should be a top ten team in America.
Putting a little pressure on Paul Hewitt. We're really excited about
him bringing up his team. Hopefully December 14th. Looks like that's going to go.
It's kind of a way to say thank you to our fans too. To have a BCS school
coming into our place is an exciting time for us."
Coach Shulman says the Mocs should have sixteen home games next season.
Last year, UTC played nine of their first ten games away from McKenzie Arena, and they started out 2-8.
Shulman tried to get a few more home games this season because he
lost so many players from last year's NCAA tournament team.
"I mean we're so young. I'll start it right now. We're so young,
we may not score next year. We just lost five starters. We really
don't have a whole lot coming back and a lot of young kids. I'm going
to start playing it right now. You'll see a tear. I'll start tearing up
here in a second."
