Red Bank Middle School Student Wins Anti-Litter Art Billboard Contest

| |

A Red Bank Middle School student won a billboard art contest for the Hamilton Shines Anti Litter Program.
8th grader Holly Alexander created a picture showing the affects of litter from outer space.
Hamilton County Mayor Claude Ramsey hopes the billboard will inspire people to clean up their communities.
Ramsey says, "The good Lord gave us a beautiful place to live with our mountains and our water, our lakes, and rivers, and yet we come along and trash the place."
Holly says, "I do hate litter. I really hate it a lot, and every time you litter, you're killing a plant, and I don't mean just grass."
A 21st Century Academy student won the high school division.
Holly's billboard will go up at the corner of Dayton Boulevard and Ashland Terrace.
