
Rep. Kevin Brooks Seeks Re-Election to House

Cleveland, TN -- State Representative Kevin Brooks (R-Cleveland) has announced that he will seek re-election to the TN House of Representatives in the 24th District. In announcing his decision Rep. Brooks stated, “My family and I are very grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support and encouragement during this process. We are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive comments sent our way,” he continued.
“I am incredibly fulfilled serving the people of the 24th District in ‘The People’s House’. This has been the greatest opportunity ever afforded to me, but there is still much work to be done to make Cleveland and Bradley County the best possible community in the state of Tennessee,” states Rep. Brooks.
Brooks was first elected to the TN House of Representatives in 2006 and has served in the 105th and 106th General Assemblies. During his two terms in office he was elected by his colleagues to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Republican Caucus and has been selected to serve as Vice-Chair of the Children and Family Affairs Committee. Other official duties include serving on the influential House Finance Ways & Means Committee, the House Education Committee, House Rules Committee, Vice-Chair of House Domestic Relations Subcommittee and a member of the House Higher Education Subcommittee
“We appreciate Rep. Brooks’ hard work on the behalf of our Caucus and for the citizens of the 24th District. I certainly look forward to his continued great service in the House and in his leadership role,” said Rep. Glen Casada, House Republican Caucus Chairman. “He is a man of great integrity."
Rep. Kevin Brooks serves the 24th Legislative District in Cleveland, TN and Bradley County. He and his wife Kim are actively involved in the community and local public schools with their two children, Zach and Elizabeth who attend Cleveland High School.
