Safe and SoundErlanger's Safe and Sound reminds parents that everyone needs to wear proper safety gear when skateboarding and bike riding.
Doctors say brain injury is the leading cause of sports related death in children.
Safe and Sound's Becky Campbell, "See the design how different it is from the bike helmet, a skate helmet is designed to protect the back of the head because when you're skate boarding you fall back and you hit the back of your head."
Safe and Sound will host a Kids Safety Fair on Saturday, May 17th.
The free event will be held at the downtown riverfront from 11-3.
