School Closings For Next Week Because of the Flu

You can add the city of Dayton to the list of school systems shutting down next week because of rising illness.
Dayton schools will be closed on Monday.
Bledsoe and Cleveland schools have called off classes on both Monday and Tuesday of next week.

we had o alot of people out and still we had go to school when they should close the school and clean it but no they keep it open until fall break i call that cheap

I cannot understand why ever school in south east Tn. dose not close the doors for at least 4 days to try to help stop the flu virus. Why do they have to wate till 30% of the kids is out with it? just think of the kids they could keep from getting it if they would just close for 4 days.They allow something 14 days for snow,and so meny days for rain,that they will never use. So why not use at least 4 days for something good. thankyou j1space

I totally agree with you. It is spreading like wild fire through Apison elementary.. I am 8.5 months pregnant and almost every single one of my sons friends have come down with this virus in the past week.. I do not know what they are waiting for.. Hamilton County schools need to be closed for a few days as well..
