What looks like an art project, is actually the latest work of the St. Peter's Sprouts.
Members of the student organization paint and put together recycling boxes for classrooms in the school.
They make sure the whole campus now has a regular schedule for recycling, according to Teacher Randi Schlosser.
"I think really the whole reason we chose it, is because it's really what we should be doing. I mean, people should be more concerned."
The school will create a garden in front of the school, with students getting involved in taking care of it.
It's a way to get kids outdoors, out of the classroom, and learning about the environment.
Jaime Melton is the Director of Development at the school.
"Anytime we can get them up and moving, it's a little more interesting to them, they're not sitting all day, and they feel a little part of what we're doing down there, whether it's planting seeds, or sitting there to do a story, or a lesson."
The school is also getting some professional help to "Go Healthy, Go Green."
Greenlife Grocery has taken over the school lunch program.
Chef Charlie Loomis points out it's the first school where Greenlife has provided food.
"We're making every thing fresh in house. This chicken is actual chicken breast that we cut up ourselves, we cook it, and we sauce it. It's not boil in a bag, and it's not coming frozen and processed."
It's a school wide effort to be more healthy, and more environmentally friendly.
School leaders hope it will pay off outside the school walls.
Student Sydney Tindall is doing her part.
"There's tons of things to do, but if we do one step at a time, we can get to the bigger amounts to where we do something huge that's really good for the environment."
