CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) — A north Alabama high school won't get to play football games at home this year after an inspection showed the stadium isn't safe.

Cullman County school superintendent Craig Ross says Fairview High School's stadium has structural damage to the bleachers, so the team can't play there this season.

The team found out about the problem Thursday on the eve of its season-opening game against Hanceville. The game will now be played at Cullman High School, where Fairview will play all its home games this year.

The county system had the stadium inspected after administrators reported the bleachers were in disrepair.

The superintendent tells The Cullman Times (http://bit.ly/1pPYheR ) an engineer said he wouldn't put his own family in the stadium.

The county board may have to fund repairs.
