BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Birmingham authorities have arrested seven people and charged them with crimes related to alleged prostitution ring.
Birmingham police and federal agents raided a massage parlor after receiving complaints about possible prostitution and human trafficking at the business.
They arrested three men and charged them visiting an illegal house of prostitution. Police say one woman was charged with operating an illegal house of prostitution and three other women were charged with residing in an illegal house of prostitution.
Police say the raid was part of a monthlong operation designed to improve the quality of life for residents and business owners in the troubled section of Birmingham.
