NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A former middle school soccer coach in Nashville has pleaded guilty to nine counts of statutory rape and other charges involving seven underage girls.

The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1veAGol) reports 47-year-old George "Rico" Laise entered a plea agreement last week that calls for him to serve 12 years without a chance for early release or parole.

Laise was a soccer coach at Harpeth Hall middle school when he was arrested in June 2013.

Police said Laise's victims ranged in age from 14 to 17.
