MACON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in central Georgia are investigating a fire that claimed a woman's life.

Bibb County Assistant Coroner Lonnie Miley said the blaze happened Sunday at North Napier Apartments on Napier Avenue in Macon.ds

Authorities said 43-year-old Barbara Heel was taken to the Coliseum Medical Center, where she later died.

Miley tells WMAZ-TV (http://on.wmaz.com/VS1JtQ) that he believes the fire started from a stove that was left on.

An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
