CHATTANOOGA, TN,(WDEF)-North Murray High School they say they are educating their students for life beyond a classroom.

Principal Maria Bradley,"An active shooter scenario where we had our law and justice kids come in and those students were pretending to be active shooters in a school scenario and also we had our health care science students come in to take care of the wounded"

The school was one of the main stops on the 21st bus ride that takes Georgia's leaders back to school to learn from those who are half their age.

Steve Dolinger, President of Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education."Loads of business, government, education leaders to a select handful of schools to see what they are doing well to see what we can learn from them and take back across the state"

Students of the school say they see their education as real life preparation.

"I'm using culinary as my pathway for High School this is my second year doing it"

"What I want to study right now is a barber"

"Nails, sometimes all the steps are pretty confusing but after a while you get used to it"

The 30 million dollar school has state of the art sports facilities and a modern I.T enhanced library.

Other workshop and hands on classes include self defence and government.

"What are schools doing that is really cutting edge, last year the theme was technology, to go into schools and see even elementary school kids using i-pads and doing current research, it's not like the school we went to in High School things have really changed a lot" added Steve Dolinger.

Calhoun High and Clark Creek  were also stops for the community leaders.
