Arts Build kicked off their fund raising campaign at the Old Main Church in Chattanooga Thursday afternoon.
This is the organization's 43rd annual campaign, previously known as Allied Arts. Arts Build is best known for raising funds for 13 local art organizations. More than 150 artists, donors and organizations including the Creative Discovery Museum and Chattanooga Ballet attended the event. Dan Bowers, Arts Build President said, "We are involved in arts education, providing arts experiences for schools, for the children in Hamilton County schools. Also providing some professional development for the teachers and also cultural planning. We write grants for the community for arts activities."
The organization's goal for the campaign is to reach 1.1 million dollars.
