Judd Daugherty is a pretty popular guy in McMinn County, but this Englewood native is about to be known nation wide as one of the 16 Big Brother housemates.
His friends and family threw a viewing party to watch the premier of the show.
With a nickname like J U-Double D Party Daugherty, they think he'll be stealing the spot light.
"From what I'm reading right now everyone's thinking he's the redneck stereo type. But I don't think that's him. He's gonna be the fun guy," his friend said.
From a mother's point of view, Tana Daugherty just hope he stays out of trouble.
"I hope he shows he's not the big party boy anymore that he used to be and that he's just a good down to earth guy," said Daugherty.
His family and friends say being on Big Brother has been Judd's dream since the show started.
He's even auditioned multiple times.
They say his knowledge of the show will give him an advantage.
"He's seen the game played so many different ways. He has his strategy figured out," said his friend Jordan Carter.
He's after a $500-thousand dollar prize and his friends hope all hope america will love him as much as they do.
