Students at Calvin Donaldson Academy have been working on a "case study" all semester.
That's a cross-curricular unit of study.
During an open house, parents got a chance to see for themselves what the students have been learning.
Cherrye Robertson is the Principal of Calvin Donaldson Academy.
"2nd grade is talking about science, so they're doing phases of the moon, they're talking about recycling, they're talking about life cycles of a frog.
Whereas Kindergarten is talking about seasons, so they're talking about the differences in the 4 seasons.
Whereas 5th grade is talking about kinetic motion.
So, they're talking about potential energy, kinetic energy, so they're talking about different things related to motion."
The school not only invites parents, but care givers and members of the community to see the work of the students.
By sharing their work with the community, the students learn that everything in life is connected.
