The "Capture" project gave amateur film makers the chance to submit video snippets which were turned into short films by three different production teams. Those three films were unveiled at a premier party at Track 29. The event featured performances by Creative Underground, Summer Dregs and Strung Like A Horse.
Each of those bands provided the musical score for one of the films. The theme for the project was "simple beauty."
"Even stuff people shot on cell phones, I mean people really took time to think about what the theme was and to visually represent that, and they did an outstanding job," said AVA Board Member Bobby Stone.
"The overall process of how we were able to collaborate with the film editors and this fantastic music, it is a sight to be seen," added Shane Morrow, Artistic Director with Creative Underground.
The collaboration between Atomic Films and Summer Dregs took home top honors as judges by Jonathan Talpin from the University of Southern California. You can watch all three films here https://www.facebook.com/avarts http://capturechatt.org/
